Preparing for Birth Childbirth Class
Mid Kansas Doula Services childbirth classes are judgment free, evidence-based, unbiased childbirth education. They are designed to help you with the How, When, Why and What of birthing your child. Each class focuses on a stage of labor and delivery to answer these questions:
1. How is that done?
2. When would I need that?
3. Why would I need that?
4. What are my options?
Preparing for Birth is one class that lasts three hours and includes information on:
– Introduction and Welcome to the Series
– Birth Partner Communication
– Hopes, Wishes & A Written Plan
– Packing Your Hospital Bag
– Pregnancy Complaints
– Nutrition and Weight Gain
– Common Prenatal Testing
MKDS’s Preparing for Childbirth Class uses curriculum that is meant to get both you and your labor partner involved by including communication activities. The class is held in your home or a location you choose to ensure you are comfortable and relaxed during the class. Our Childbirth Educators travel and our service areas cover Hutchinson, McPherson, Newton, Wichita, Salina, Great Bend, Lyons, Sterling, Fort Riley, Junction City, Manhattan, Topeka and surrounding areas.
