What is a Doula?
The term doula comes from an ancient Greek term meaning “a woman who serves”. Women have been supporting other women in labor and during postpartum for centuries.
A doula is present to support, encourage and empower the birthing mom and her personal birth team during a very intimate and emotional time for a young family. Read more here.

“As a young girl, I learned quickly how God uses every aspect of my life as learning experiences for future adventures. He also has shown me that my experiences were not to be brushed off as insignificant, but to be used to help other people.”
Before becoming pregnant with her third child, Katie decided that the best way she could use her very different birth experiences for good was to become a doula. As a doula, she feels called to the important task of helping women plan and prepare for their birth. Including, being there for them during one of the most special times of her life, welcoming a new child into the world. Katie serves families in Great Bend, Lyons, Sterling, Hutchinson, McPherson, Salina and surrounding areas.
